Senior Engineer, Cybersecurity (Cybersecurity)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid remote/in-office role

Annual base pay: $140,000–$160,000 USD

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate security controls and services for identity, secrets, endpoints, networks, detection, and response automation.
• Partner with product and platform engineering teams to integrate security into architecture and developer workflows.
• Perform security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments for code, designs, and third-party applications.
• Investigate complex security incidents and drive architectural changes that prevent recurrence.
• Share security practices through RFCs, communities of practice, design reviews, code reviews, and pairing.
• Participate in a limited on-call schedule determined after joining.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and security engineering.
• Knowledge of access management, encryption, vulnerability management, AI security, network security, and authentication and authorization.
• Experience securing AWS or GCP environments and applying cloud architecture best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, infrastructure as code, SAST, SCA, secure-by-design practices, and shift-left security.
• Programming experience in Go or Python, plus containerization and orchestration experience.
• Ability to work in a hybrid remote/in-office arrangement in New York, NY.

Nice to have

• Security, compliance, or DevOps certifications.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Packer, or HashiCorp Vault.
