Security Architect (AI)

Location: US Remote

Salary: $210,000–$230,000 per year, plus equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Build and run secure platforms for automations, AI agent workflows, and internal software with pre-approved tools, scoped identities, data authorization, approvals, audit logging, and cost controls.
• Create templates, starter kits, reference patterns, and enablement materials so teams can self-serve secure AI adoption.
• Work with Engineering, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to launch workflows and turn successful implementations into reusable patterns.
• Automate SDLC and product security controls, including threat modeling, secure design reviews, code scanning, secret detection, supply-chain security, and CI/CD enforcement.
• Build access automation, privileged-access elevation, AWS guardrails, vulnerability workflows, monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and incident-response capabilities.
• Own production services end to end and participate in the Security & IT on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience across security architecture, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise IT.
• Recent experience building and running production products, platforms, or internal tools, including work with AI agents as a primary engineering tool.
• Production experience with LLM or agent systems, including evaluation, tool and MCP governance, access-controlled retrieval, approval steps, and cost limits.
• Deep AWS experience covering multi-account organizations, identity, network security, and infrastructure as code; proficiency across Python, Go, TypeScript, and Terraform.
• Practical Zero Trust and identity architecture experience, including SSO, user provisioning, device management, and privileged access.
• Product security experience with threat modeling, secure design reviews, supply-chain security, code scanning, dependency analysis, and secret detection.

Nice to have

• Security architecture for a SaaS product and experience with multi-tenant SaaS security and tenant isolation.
• Experience in regulated or high-trust environments, including SOC 2 or ISO 27001 compliance programs.
• Experience with a second cloud provider, security detections, and monitoring for owned systems.
