Intermodal Dispatcher (US Freight)

Location: Remote or office-based in Serbia, Colombia, Ukraine, or Poland. Working schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM CST.

What you will do

• Dispatch and coordinate 10–15 intermodal drivers, including shift handoffs and overnight operations.
• Track shipments, containers, driver progress, releases, appointments, and delivery or pickup statuses in transportation and rail systems.
• Coordinate customers, rail providers, terminals, depots, warehouses, steamship lines, and internal daytime operations.
• Manage rail billing, lift fees, storage charges, container releases, pickup notifications, and related documentation.
• Respond to operational emails, resolve delays and disruptions, escalate critical issues, and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Identify reload opportunities and coordinate import and export container movements to reduce empty miles and driver downtime.

Requirements

• Previous experience in US freight dispatch, including intermodal operations.
• Strong understanding of container transportation, US trucking operations, and dispatch workflows.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, solve problems, remain calm under pressure, and make quick decisions.
• Strong computer skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn multiple software systems independently.
• Experience with transportation management systems is highly preferred; good Microsoft Excel knowledge is required.
