Data Engineer II (Healthcare)

Location: New York City, New York; office attendance required three days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Salary: $138,000–$160,000 per year, plus equity incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines powering business operations.
• Define reusable, abstracted datasets for Business Intelligence, Marketing, and Data Science Research.
• Design and promote a federated data validation framework to identify potential inconsistencies.
• Apply data privacy and security best practices to protect user information.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software or data engineering experience.
• Expertise in Python, SQL, scalable data pipelines, query optimization, data modeling, and reusable datasets.
• Experience with Airflow, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake.
• Knowledge of distributed data processing, data warehousing, governance, quality, privacy, SQL tuning, medallion or event-driven architectures, and telemetry.
• Familiarity with healthcare or insurance and data security, including HIPAA compliance.
• Must work from the New York City office three days per week. Employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare or insurance data.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Argo, Spark, DuckDB, Iceberg, Airbyte, dbt, OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry, or Looker.
