Senior Data Engineer (AI)

Location: US Remote

Salary: $95,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, implement, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
• Architect and scale a modern data platform for real-time and batch processing.
• Write complex SQL queries and develop reliable data models and workflows for analytics and business operations.
• Build automated tools using artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big-data techniques to cleanse, organize, and transform data.
• Partner with engineering, data science, analytics, product, finance, sales, and compliance stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and lead proofs of concept that improve the data stack, automation, security, and continuous delivery.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on financial systems on SaaS platforms.
• Deep expertise in Python, SQL, and distributed processing frameworks such as Apache Spark and Databricks.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably AWS or Azure, and warehouses including Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Databricks.
• Hands-on experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or dbt and data formats including Delta, JSON, Parquet, and Avro.
• Strong understanding of data security, privacy, governance, quality, lineage, and compliance in a financial-services context.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, and Anaplan data modeling is required.
