Electrical CAD/BIM Designer (Electrical Power Systems)

Salary: $33.00–$36.00 USD per hour, plus eligibility for performance-based bonuses and equity participation

What you will do

• Develop electrical system drawings and BIM models for building power systems based on project scope, client RFPs, and direction from Senior Engineers.
• Prepare design and construction documents for electrical systems.
• Coordinate electrical drawings and models with HVAC, controls, fire protection, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Support projects in a fast-paced, multi-discipline team environment.

Requirements

• Associate or technical degree in drafting, design, BIM, CADD, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of electrical power design drafting or modeling experience.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and municipal codes.
• Understanding of power flow and distribution in electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of Revit models, families, templates, and clash detection tools.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office software.

Nice to have

• Experience with SKM and EasyPower power modeling tools.
• Experience designing AC service and distribution, DC power and distribution, standby generators, UPS systems, grounding, lighting, security, and fire protection.
