Structural Engineer Intern - Summer 2027

Location: Chesterfield, MO, United States. On-site and in-office 100%.

What you will do

• Prepare structural designs using information from mechanical, electrical, client, and vendor sources.
• Design and detail structural steel, concrete, masonry, foundations, framing systems, and civil sitework.
• Assist with construction documents, drawing submittals, revisions, RFIs, and field questions under senior engineer direction.
• Perform loading analysis and develop structural analysis models using STAAD, RISA, or other analysis programs.
• Participate in project and interdepartmental meetings and coordinate work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop drawings and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD while monitoring project scopes, schedules, and budgets.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Engineering program, preferably Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Foundational understanding of structural design and deliverables development.
• Strong communication, teamwork, organization, time-management, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to produce timely, accurate, error-free deliverables and coordinate with project stakeholders.
• Proficient computer use with the ability to sit and enter data for extended periods of six to eight hours.
• Ability to work on-site in Chesterfield, Missouri, in-office 100%.
