Student Engineering Intern (Structural)

Location: Anchorage, Alaska, United States; onsite office internship during the summer months.

Compensation: Hourly wage depends on experience.

What you will do

• Assist with structural design work for facilities and infrastructure projects.
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations.
• Research assigned structural engineering topics.
• Assist with field inspections and gain exposure to job sites and client projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and learn how professional engineering services are delivered.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering.
• Knowledge of fundamental structural engineering concepts.
• Strong problem-solving, mathematical, time-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work and collaborate effectively in a team.
• Availability for a temporary part-time summer schedule of 40 hours per week in the Anchorage office.

Nice to have

• Coursework in steel, wood, concrete, and precast or prestressed concrete design.
• Some proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Self-motivation and strong attention to detail.
