Meteorologist (Bilingual)

Location: Full-time onsite at an hirify.global-designated worksite in New York, NY, United States

Salary: USD 170,000–185,000 per year

What you will do

• Prepare and present daily weather forecasts for television newscasts, streaming platforms, digital channels, and social media.
• Provide live coverage during hurricanes, winter storms, flooding, severe weather, and breaking news events.
• Create bilingual weather content for websites, mobile apps, connected TV, social platforms, and emerging digital channels.
• Use weather graphics, radar systems, forecasting models, and related technology to explain complex weather information.
• Collaborate with producers, reporters, assignment editors, and digital and streaming teams on weather-driven content and enterprise stories.
• Participate in community events, public appearances, special projects, and long-form coverage of weather, climate, safety, and environmental issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of on-air weather forecasting experience preferred.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience delivering live forecasts under deadline pressure and covering severe weather or breaking news.
• Strong knowledge of meteorological models, forecasting tools, weather graphics systems, radar platforms, and digital content creation.
• Ability to work onsite in New York, NY, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts during severe weather events; willingness to join SAG-AFTRA is required.

Nice to have

• Experience forecasting in a major television market in both English and Spanish.
• AMS Seal, CBM certification, or equivalent credentials.
• Experience with live field reporting, breaking news coverage, streaming, OTT, FAST channels, and emerging digital platforms.
