Senior Hydraulics Engineer

Location: Peoria, Illinois, United States; onsite five days per week. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year.

Manufactures earthmoving and other heavy equipment, including hydraulic systems and components for construction machinery.

What you will do

• Develop and validate hydraulic components and solutions for new product introduction programs.
• Lead component development from concept design through prototype development, testing, machine validation, pilot production, and production assurance.
• Evaluate hydraulic products, systems, and technologies to improve design, cost, and performance.
• Support continuous product improvement, field issue resolution, APQP activities, and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate with system, validation, product, procurement, supplier, and global hydraulic teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage multiple project priorities and timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience with hydraulics in mobile machinery, including hydraulic components or systems.
• Experience developing valves, pumps, motors, or hydraulic systems for braking, transmission, fan, steering, or implement applications.
• Knowledge of product design and development from concept through production, including FMEA, APQP, prototyping, testing, and validation.
• Strong analytical thinking, technical problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and project management skills.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; the position requires onsite work in Peoria five days per week.
