Engineer III Systems Engineer - Engines

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA; onsite. Occasional travel to other hirify.global facilities may be required.

What you will do

• Design, validate, and bring new engine-related products and components to market.
• Define functional requirements and evaluate designs for effectiveness, cost, reliability, risk, and safety.
• Develop and execute fitness-for-use testing, product specifications, and process validation plans.
• Create and review material specifications, bills of materials, engineering drawings, and CAD/CAE models.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, sourcing, quality, service, marketing, manufacturing partners, and suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Support product development schedules and costs, mentor less experienced engineers, and travel to other facilities as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with new product design and development, machine design, and materials such as plastics, aluminum castings, and sheet metal.
• Ability to perform FEA, CFD, and other engineering analyses.
• Experience with 3D modeling using ProE or SolidWorks, as well as MS Excel and MS Word.
• Experience with SAP or an equivalent ERP system and the ability to communicate technical information to varied audiences.
