Engineering Project Leader (Automotive)

Location: Wyoming, Minnesota, USA; occasional travel may be required to suppliers, testing activities, and manufacturing locations.

Salary: $81,000–$107,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional engineering teams of approximately 5–20 members while managing cost, schedule, quality, and performance objectives.
• Guide the design and development of off-road vehicle components and systems to improve competitiveness, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate engineering development, testing, drafting, layout, prototyping, fabrication, and design review activities.
• Benchmark competitive products, technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes to support engineering decisions.
• Develop cost estimates and monitor financial performance for components, tooling, and development activities.
• Analyze field issues, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in consumer product, powersports, automotive, or vehicle development.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving technical decisions throughout product development.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, product development practices, cost estimation, and project cost management.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools; experience with Creo is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, decision-making, and stakeholder-influence skills.
