TL;DR
Structural Design Engineer (Lead & Senior) (Aerospace): Delivering structural modifications, rate enhancements, corrective design solutions, and technical investigations for aerospace products with an accent on airworthiness, product integrity, and integrated structural and system solutions. Focus on leading design investigations, achieving design approval authorisation, mentoring engineers, and improving engineering processes.
Location: Broughton, United Kingdom; hybrid working available subject to role requirements. Occasional travel within the UK and internationally is required.

What you will do
- Lead structural modifications, rate enhancements, and corrective design solutions.
- Deliver technical investigations and integrated solutions that improve cost, rate, and quality.
- Act as a focal point for technical issues and provide authoritative engineering guidance.
- Mentor engineering team members and support technical capability development.
- Ensure design integrity, compliance with design standards, and support for airworthiness type certification.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improved engineering methods and processes.
Requirements
- Lead Design Engineers must hold industry-recognised Design Approval (Check), or be able to achieve it within a short timeframe.
- Senior Design Engineers must hold industry-recognised Design Approval (Check) and Authorisation, or be able to achieve them within a short timeframe.
- Experience leading structural design for structural and system modifications.
- Ability to translate design investigations into integrated technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of airworthiness, safety, product integrity, and design compliance requirements.
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to functional and delivery managers.
