Systems Engineer (Military Avionics)

What you will do

• Analyze RAF operational and maintenance issues and develop technical solutions and recommendations.
• Manage safety and airworthiness matters for Litening laser designation pods in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Plan and coordinate modifications to airborne and ground-based pod equipment while maintaining operational capability and controlling costs.
• Support customer integration, demonstrations, flight trials, technical reporting, and in-service support activities.
• Liaise with programme management, field service technicians, suppliers, customers, the UK MoD, RAF, and international air forces.
• Prepare and review technical proposals, effort and cost estimates, risk assessments, and bid documentation.

Requirements

• Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain SC security clearance.
• Extensive experience in military avionics at aircraft systems level.
• A degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience and knowledge of airborne electro-optic systems.
• Extensive experience or qualifications in aircraft systems safety.
• Demonstrable experience presenting to and working with UK and overseas suppliers, customers, and end users.
• Ability to handle export-controlled material where required by the role.
