Systems Engineer (Military Avionics)

Location: Foundation Park, Maidenhead, UK; hybrid working is available.

What you will do

• Analyze RAF operational and maintenance issues and develop technical solutions and recommendations.
• Manage safety and airworthiness matters to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Coordinate the technical planning and implementation of modifications to airborne and ground-based Litening laser designation pod equipment.
• Support customer integration, demonstrations, flight trials, technical reporting, and in-service support activities.
• Liaise with UK and international customers, suppliers, defense organizations, air forces, field service technicians, and programme management.
• Prepare and review technical proposals, estimates, risks, and effort assessments for bids and new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain SC security clearance.
• Extensive experience in military avionics at aircraft systems level.
• A degree in engineering or a similar field, or equivalent experience and knowledge of airborne electro-optical systems.
• Extensive experience or qualifications in aircraft systems safety.
• Experience presenting to and working with UK and overseas suppliers, customers, and end users.
• Ability to handle export-controlled material where required by the role.
