SCOF Systems Engineer (RF)

What you will do

• Maintain the operational state of SCOF ground segment equipment, including baseband, TT&C modems, ranging systems, S-Band RF systems, and communications systems.
• Provide field engineering and third-line on-call support for system faults and performance failures.
• Liaise with equipment suppliers, fourth-line support organisations, and maintenance staff to investigate recurring faults and equipment wear.
• Maintain installation drawings, configuration records, SCC computer hardware configurations, and ranging system integrity.
• Identify system upgrades and enhancements and develop engineering implementation plans with the System Design Authority.
• Provide specialist technical advice to the SCOF System Engineer.

Requirements

• Must have or be able to obtain UK Eyes Only SC/DV Security Clearance through the UK Intelligence Community process.
• In-depth knowledge of telecommunications, data networks, RF transmission, and satellite communications systems.
• At least five years of experience in field support engineering for mission-critical or business-critical communications systems.
• Understanding of secure systems, cryptographic systems, and TEMPEST principles.
• Willingness and ability to acquire UK Developed Vetting.
