Corporate Counsel II - Commercial Contracts (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States; travel 1–20% within the US is required

Salary: $141,000–$234,000 per year

What you will do

• Draft, review, negotiate, and approve master services, software, licensing, information security, data use, consulting, confidentiality, and business associate agreements.
• Provide day-to-day legal support to technology and consulting divisions and serve as a primary contact for internal business clients.
• Advise business unit leaders on contractual, regulatory, healthcare, privacy, and security matters.
• Research legal issues and monitor regulatory guidance, case law, and court opinions.
• Support transactional matters, special projects, and governmental or media relations matters.
• Conduct legal training sessions and collaborate with senior management, customers, suppliers, business partners, and outside counsel.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of applicable experience, including substantial transactional experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in a state bar.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial contract law and corporate law.
• Healthcare transactional and regulatory experience, including knowledge of HIPAA, the HITECH Act, and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
• Ability to work independently on complex matters, meet tight deadlines, communicate clearly, and collaborate with varied business and legal stakeholders.
