Sr. Electrical Design Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Design advanced wafer probe cards and electrical circuits based on customer specifications, manufacturing rules, product requirements, and DFT requirements.
• Prepare and verify netlists and design data for probe heads, PCBs, and associated electrical components.
• Perform PCB component placement, routing, transmission line analysis, design verification, and basic signal integrity analysis.
• Plan and manage design activities, balancing quality, manufacturability, schedule, and cost.
• Work with customers, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing Engineering, and globally distributed engineering teams to develop technical solutions and assess feasibility.
• Improve electrical design processes, documentation, methods, best practices, and internal design tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of related experience, an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering principles, circuits, electronic components, PCB design, and schematic/netlist-driven design.
• Familiarity with PCB layout, component placement, routing, transmission line considerations, signal integrity, and design verification.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, translate customer requirements into electrical designs, and troubleshoot issues systematically.
• Ability to manage multiple design activities, meet schedules, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must work onsite in Livermore, California.

Nice to have

• Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD, PCB troubleshooting, scripting languages, semiconductor manufacturing, or wafer probing.
• Experience collaborating with geographically dispersed engineering and design teams.
