PCB Designer (RF)

Location: Eatontown, New Jersey, United States; onsite

Salary: $93,920–$156,533 annually, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus and shift premium for eligible alternative shifts.

What you will do

• Design moderate-to-complex digital, analog, power, and RF PCB layouts using Siemens Xpedition, Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, Altium, and related CAD tools.
• Develop component placement, routing, stack-up, controlled-impedance, differential-pair, length-matching, and RF transmission-line layouts.
• Create fabrication and assembly drawings, ODB++ output files, PCB/CCA documentation, and engineering change updates.
• Support prototype and production board designs while addressing electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, safety, EMI, and manufacturability requirements.
• Collaborate with signal integrity, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, process engineering, field application engineering, and program management teams.
• Maintain legacy designs and provide layout feedback, trade-offs, and solutions for non-standard PCB design problems.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on PCB design experience with Siemens Xpedition, Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, and/or Altium.
• Experience creating electrical drafting, fabrication, assembly, schematic library, and PCB footprint documentation.
• Knowledge of IPC standards, including IPC-2221/2223 and IPC Class III design and manufacturing practices.
• Experience with high-speed PCB constraints, RF routing, multilayer CCA, flex PCB, microvia/HDI, stack-up construction, and impedance modeling.
• Associate degree in electrical design/drafting or a bachelor’s degree in electronic technology; relevant training or certification may substitute with 3–5 years of experience.
• Must have a background that would permit the US Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when required, and must meet US ITAR access requirements for restricted technical data.

Nice to have

• PCB design experience in the aerospace and defense sectors.
• CID or CID++ certification.
