Manager I - Estimating (Solar)

Location: Remote/Traveling for corporate use only; candidates must hold valid independent U.S. work authorization.

Salary: $121,680–$176,436 annually.

What you will do

• Lead preconstruction estimating and the full bidding process for utility-scale solar projects.
• Review estimates, bids, project risks, opportunities, quality requirements, safety costs, and JHA risks.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction, Business Development, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, engineers, and clients.
• Develop estimating department strategy, procedures, standard cost data, schedules, and proposal materials.
• Mentor and develop estimators through training and diverse work experiences.
• Support contract negotiations and coordinate the transition of awarded projects from estimating to construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related discipline.
• At least 5 years of applicable preconstruction or construction experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.
• Experience in estimating, project management, contract negotiations, and construction methods, with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Valid, independent U.S. work authorization is required; H-1B visa and permanent residency sponsorship are not available.

Nice to have

• Experience leading estimating or preconstruction teams for utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of estimating methodologies, construction means and methods, procurement, and project execution.
