Project Manager II, Land Development Civil Engineering

Location: Santa Ana, California, United States; hybrid work available within the Southern California area

Salary: $125,000–$196,000 per year

What you will do

• Plan, direct, and coordinate complex multidisciplinary land development projects across scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and execution.
• Develop and manage Project Management Plans, project controls, resources, change management, and financial performance.
• Lead, mentor, and empower civil engineers, surveyors, GIS professionals, architects, MEP+FP professionals, estimators, and quality staff.
• Assign and oversee design work, provide technical guidance, review 2D and 3D engineering documents, and ensure quality deliverables.
• Build client relationships and serve as the primary contact for clients, vendors, project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
• Support land development projects involving site planning, grading and drainage, utility design, permitting, construction management, and surveying.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 7–10 years of civil design and project management experience delivering complex projects.
• California Professional Engineer license, or ability to obtain it within 6 months.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations, subconsultants, budgets, schedules, and change management.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, decision-making, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Nice to have

• Experience with land development, site development, grading and drainage, utility design, and local or state agency permitting.
