Global Supply Manager - Cable Harness

Location: Hybrid position based out of the Fremont, California office; all roles are U.S.-based. Current authorization to work in the United States is required.

Anticipated base salary: $145,000–$189,000 USD per year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Develops commercially deployed humanoid robots for warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers, with a focus on safety, automation, and human productivity.

What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for cable harnesses, wire assemblies, and interconnect components.
• Partner with Engineering on harness design, connector selection, manufacturability, and design optimization.
• Identify, select, and qualify global harness and cable assembly suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships and improve cost, quality, delivery, and supply resilience.
• Lead cost modeling, should-cost analysis, negotiations, and value-engineering initiatives.
• Support NPI schedules, maintain the supplier plan of record, and develop risk assessments and dual-sourcing strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required; a general business or supply chain degree is not a substitute.
• At least 5 years of procurement or supply-chain experience, including 3+ years focused on cable harnesses, wire assemblies, or interconnect components.
• Strong understanding of harness manufacturing processes, including crimping, molding, and testing.
• Ability to independently read wiring diagrams, connector specifications, and DFM requirements.
• Current authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Experience managing global harness and cable assembly suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Deep experience with should-cost analysis and cost modeling.
• Familiarity with NPI processes, engineering collaboration, MRP/ERP systems, and supplier management tools.
• Experience in negotiation, supplier performance management, and strategic sourcing.
