Focus on negotiating technology and telecoms agreements, developing risk mitigation strategies, and improving legal delivery through automation and scalable processes.
Location: Newbury, United Kingdom; hybrid work with office attendance 2–3 days per week and at least 8 days per month.

What you will do
- Support the negotiation and delivery of contracts, bids and tenders across Business sales segments.
- Provide pragmatic legal advice on commercial, operational and compliance matters while managing legal risk.
- Assess legal and regulatory risks and develop mitigation strategies that enable business growth.
- Build relationships with commercial, finance, security, product, technical and regulatory stakeholders, as well as customers, suppliers and external counsel.
- Contribute to governance activities, legal training and guidance for colleagues.
- Support automation, simplification and scalable legal processes that improve efficiency and business self-service.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with experience in-house or in private practice.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
- Experience in telecommunications or technology is desirable, or a strong interest in developing expertise in these sectors.
- Strong negotiation, communication, influencing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage legal matters independently, build trusted relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement, innovation, learning and professional development.
