Software Engineer II - Support (TypeScript/Node/React)

Location: Remote

Expected full-time base salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year. Additional compensation may include equity, paid time off, and benefits.

What you will do

• Triage and resolve software bugs affecting end users across TypeScript, Node, and React applications.
• Execute Postgres database changes to unblock workflows and ship well-vetted fixes.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to address root causes and larger product gaps identified through support.
• Monitor system performance with Grafana and Sentry, participate in on-call rotations, and lead incident resolutions.
• Document troubleshooting steps and solutions while expanding the internal support knowledge base.
• Review pull requests and own engineering projects from scoping through delivery, with a focus on eliminating recurring escalations.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining production software.
• Experience with TypeScript, Node, React, and Postgres.
• Ability to investigate unfamiliar code and production data, identify root causes, and deliver reliable fixes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical partners.
• Sound judgment when working in production, including knowing when to resolve, escalate, or involve another team.
• Ability to use AI tooling and agents while maintaining high code quality and focused outcomes.

Nice to have

• Degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience with Grafana, Sentry, incident response, and on-call rotations.
