Systems Engineer (Space)

Location: Stevenage, United Kingdom, with hybrid working. Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance is required, with approximately monthly travel depending on projects.

What you will do

• Define early mission architectures and lead technical feasibility studies.
• Develop end-to-end mission concepts, system-level trade studies, and system architectures.
• Identify and develop future mission and technology opportunities with partners, agencies, customers, universities, and small companies.
• Support and lead the technical aspects of bids and proposals, including presenting concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
• Apply systems engineering principles across early lifecycle phases and perform mission analysis using modelling and simulation tools.
• Contribute to project management and new business development activities.

Requirements

• Experience conducting technical studies.
• Strong systems engineering background in space, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or a similar field.
• Experience interpreting engineering trade-offs and system budgets.
• Strong interest in future space capabilities and satellite technologies.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and varied project intensity during early-stage concepts.
• Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance.
