Staff Software Engineer (Backend) (Kubernetes)

Location: Remote in EMEA

Salary: €75,000–€145,000 per year, plus equity and bonus opportunities.

Builds open-source Kubernetes tenant-isolation technology and AI infrastructure for cloud providers and AI factories, supporting GPU infrastructure, managed Kubernetes, Slurm, Ray, and inference clusters.

What you will do

• Architect and develop core components of the hirify.global Platform.
• Work deeply with Kubernetes internals, including container orchestration, networking, storage, and tenancy models.
• Write high-performance, resilient Go code for platform core logic.
• Own feature development end to end, from technical design through release.
• Develop scalable solutions for tenant isolation and resource sharing beyond namespaces.
• Contribute to open-source projects and engage with the technical community.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Kubernetes internals and architectural patterns.
• Strong programming skills in Go.
• Ability to work autonomously, identify problems, and drive solutions without constant oversight.
• Demonstrated builder mindset through GitHub projects, experiments, or open-source contributions.
• Experience working in a high-growth environment with ambiguity and changing priorities.

Nice to have

• Contributions to the upstream Kubernetes project, including documentation, pull requests, or SIG participation.
• Experience at an early-stage organization.
