Strategic Procurement Specialist (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Implement commodity strategies and define local or regional material field strategies for non-pooled commodities.
• Plan negotiations, define supplier award strategies, and prepare sourcing board approvals.
• Negotiate local, regional, and multi-site supplier contracts covering pricing, delivery, payment terms, and other conditions.
• Manage supplier relationships, support commodity strategy development, and contribute to preferred supplier lists.
• Analyse market trends, supplier performance, and procurement data to improve sourcing decisions and reporting.
• Identify procurement risks, support supplier-led cost reduction, and align contractual terms with business requirements.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or commodity management within a complex global environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or CIPS qualification.
• Strong commercial, contractual, project management, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and supplier performance monitoring.
• Experience working with global suppliers and within a matrix organisation.
• Familiarity with component manufacturing processes and quality standards is valuable.
