Associate Procurement Professional

Location: Desford, Leicestershire, United Kingdom — office based; 20% European travel required.

Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Support procurement initiatives and projects focused on safety, compliance, lean processes, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
• Manage supplier relationships through regular strategic supplier calls and quarterly face-to-face visits.
• Support supplier risk sensing, ASN onboarding, supplier submissions, and procurement system maintenance.
• Drive automation, process updates, SWS reviews, and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Manage engineering changes, new part setup, aftermarket kitting, and customer-focused business growth.
• Support compliance reporting, including country of origin and Russian steel declarations, while improving invoice defect metrics.

Requirements

• Knowledge of procurement, purchasing policies, regulations, and procedures.
• Analytical thinking and the ability to identify root causes and develop solutions.
• Project management, communication, and logistics management skills.
• Knowledge of a procurement system and experience using tools for purchasing activities.
• Ability to work from the Desford, Leicestershire office and travel 20% within Europe.
• Commitment to safety, mandatory training, and internal audit compliance.

Nice to have

• Exposure to purchasing, supply chain, or logistics environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel formulas and VLOOKUP, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
