IT-Experte Backup & Storage (NetApp/Veeam)

Location: Manching, Germany; on-premises operations with participation in on-call duty and shift work

What you will do

• Operate and ensure the stability, performance, and availability of enterprise storage and backup environments based on NetApp ONTAP and Veeam.
• Plan and execute maintenance activities, firmware updates, patches, and technical optimizations in production.
• Analyze and resolve complex incidents across first- and second-level support and coordinate escalations with manufacturers and external support teams.
• Develop and optimize incident, change, and problem management processes according to ITIL standards using BMC Remedy, Jira, and Confluence.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for operational automation and standardization.
• Collaborate with IT, architecture, and specialist departments while managing system lifecycles and maintaining technical documentation, manuals, and SOPs.

Requirements

• Several years of experience operating and troubleshooting complex storage and backup infrastructures.
• Excellent knowledge of NetApp ONTAP and Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Experience with ITIL-based operational processes and BMC Remedy, Jira, or Confluence.
• Good knowledge of Ansible for automating administrative processes.
• Willingness to participate in on-call duty and shift work.
• Excellent German and good English skills, spoken and written.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as NCDA, NCIE, or VMCE.
