What you will do

• Lead systems, virtualization, and network architecture as the primary technical subject matter expert and escalation point.
• Design, secure, and maintain hybrid infrastructure across Azure, AWS, IONOS Cloud, and on-premise environments.
• Manage VMware vSphere and Proxmox VE clusters, including optimization, high availability, backup, disaster recovery, and data protection.
• Design and troubleshoot enterprise networking, including cloud VPCs, IPsec VPNs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, load balancing, and firewalls.
• Support Infrastructure as Code workflows with Terraform and Ansible for provisioning, configuration management, and patching.
• Coordinate vendors, licenses, hardware lifecycles, SLAs, incident response, root-cause analysis, and capacity planning.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems administration, network engineering, or cloud architecture, including senior or lead responsibilities.
• Advanced expertise in Debian and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VMware ESXi/vCenter, and Proxmox VE with KVM/LXC.
• Production experience with Azure and AWS; familiarity with IONOS Cloud is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF, DNS, HAProxy/Nginx load balancing, enterprise firewalls, IPsec VPNs, iSCSI, NFS, SAN, and backup solutions.
• Ability to read, understand, run, and troubleshoot existing Ansible, Terraform, Bash, and Python automation.
• Strong communication skills for translating technical requirements into business objectives.

Nice to have

• RHCE, LFCE, Microsoft AZ-104, AWS SysOps Administrator, or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
• VMware VCP, CCNA, or CCNP certification.
