Engineer - Data Center Operations (Cybersecurity)

Location: Frankfurt, Germany; onsite work in a production data center with occasional travel to different data center locations around Frankfurt

Cybersecurity company operating an AI-native platform that protects organizations and processes almost 3 trillion events per day.

What you will do

• Deploy, upgrade, install, configure, test, and integrate servers, switches, PDUs, and other infrastructure hardware.
• Run and maintain fiber optic and copper cabling for expanding data center infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot equipment and infrastructure issues using command-line tools.
• Document port matrices for data center projects.
• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation and collaborate with local and remote teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience managing servers and/or data centers.
• Experience with copper and optical network cabling, power cabling, and PDUs.
• Basic familiarity with Linux and other common operating systems, command-line interfaces, servers, storage, and Internet technologies.
• Ability to lift up to 35 kg and independently plan, prioritize, and complete work.
• Written and verbal English communication skills are required.
• Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of routing systems such as Cisco, Linux, or Arista.
• Experience with large-scale data center operations.
• German communication skills.
• Familiarity with Bash, Python, or Go.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA+, or Linux certifications.
