Data Center Technician (Cybersecurity)

Location: Onsite in Frankfurt, Germany; occasional travel to different data center locations around Frankfurt is required.

What you will do

• Deploy, upgrade, install, configure, test, and integrate servers, switches, PDUs, and other infrastructure hardware.
• Run fiber optic and copper cabling to support production data center infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot equipment with command-line tools and remediate issues at different stages.
• Document port matrices for data center projects.
• Collaborate with local and remote teams while supporting one another across data center operations.
• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation and travel between Frankfurt-area data centers when needed.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience managing servers and/or data centers is preferred.
• Experience with copper and optical network cabling, power cabling, and PDUs.
• Knowledge of server, storage, Internet technologies, Linux, common operating systems, and command-line interfaces.
• Ability to lift up to 35 kg and independently plan, organize, prioritize, and complete work on schedule.
• Customer-focused communication skills, including expectation management, proactive status updates, and high-quality documentation.
• Written and verbal English communication skills are required. Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes is also required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Cisco, Linux, or Arista routing systems.
• Experience with large-scale data center operations.
• German communication skills.
• Familiarity with Bash, Python, or Go.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA+, or Linux certifications.
