HSQE Manager

What you will do

• Provide competent health, safety, quality assurance, and site environmental advice to staff and management.
• Conduct inspections, review CDM documentation, risk assessments, method statements, and task briefings.
• Stop unsafe work, agree corrective actions, document solutions, and deliver re-briefings.
• Manage and mentor HSQE Advisors, produce HSQE KPI information, and manage team resources.
• Lead Level 2 investigations, liaise with regulators, and ensure findings and actions are closed on time.
• Promote positive HSQE culture, sustainable practices, workforce engagement, and lessons-learned sharing.

Requirements

• NEBOSH Construction Level 3–6 or equivalent.
• IOSH Graduate or Chartered Membership, IEMA Practitioner membership or above, and relevant safety and environmental training.
• Mental Health First Aider qualification, driving licence, report writing training, and manager and supervisor training.
• Knowledge of working methods, site inspections, risk assessments, CDM, management systems, and infrastructure services is advantageous.
• Ability to use Microsoft 365 and HSQE-specific systems.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime when required.

Nice to have

• CSCS, EUSR, or PTS certification.
• Industrial infrastructure experience, sustainability and carbon-capture knowledge, and site experience.
• Strong interpersonal, time-management, written, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
