EHS Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead EHS strategy, management systems, improvement programmes and best practices for the Duxford site.
• Represent the site on EHS matters with senior leadership, regulatory bodies, emergency services and other third parties.
• Ensure compliance with EHS legislation, hirify.global standards and Upper Tier COMAH requirements.
• Support process safety activities, including HAZOPs, risk assessments, PHRs and incident investigations.
• Lead inspections and audit programmes, investigate accidents and near misses, and drive corrective actions.
• Manage environmental matters, emergency preparedness, fire protection, occupational hygiene, EHS training and the EHS Specialist.

Requirements

• University degree in a related discipline and NEBOSH Diploma-level qualification.
• Knowledge of EHS legislation and its application in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with the Environment Agency, HSE or other regulatory authorities.
• Experience or formal training in process safety, EHS management systems, ISO 14001 and root cause investigation.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and data-focused skills, with confidence engaging operational teams, senior leaders and external regulators.
• Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to manage changing priorities and competing demands.
