Strategy Intern (Fintech)

Location: Toronto, Canada; flexible hybrid work model

Salary: CAD 25 per hour. Internship term: January–April 2027.

What you will do

• Support strategic recommendations aligned with long-term business objectives.
• Conduct market, competitive, and emerging-trend research.
• Contribute to opportunity sizing, business cases, and growth-initiative analysis.
• Collect and analyze data, identify insights, and track performance metrics.
• Prepare presentations, board materials, leadership materials, summaries, and visualizations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university or college program in business, economics, finance, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data interpretation and insight generation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Proficiency with GenAI and data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau.
• Ability to distill complex ideas into clear, actionable insights and adapt to ambiguity.
• Some exposure to consulting, strategy, or business operations through coursework, projects, or internships.
