Director - Enterprise Quality Methologies, Governance & Enablement (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices may be required

Salary: $187,900–$258,500 per year, plus bonus incentive eligibility

What you will do

• Define and evolve enterprise Quality Engineering strategies, standards, methodologies, operating procedures, and SDLC quality guidance.
• Lead the integration of AI-enabled quality engineering, including responsible use of generative AI, machine learning, analytics, intelligent automation, and AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Establish governance frameworks, maturity models, decision forums, scorecards, dashboards, and executive reporting for quality, compliance, risk, and AI adoption.
• Lead enablement programs, coaching, Communities of Practice, training, platform onboarding, and transformation support across engineering teams.
• Develop quality intelligence capabilities using DevOps, DORA, pipeline, code quality, deployment, release, AI productivity, and compliance metrics.
• Coordinate internal and external audit support, evidence collection, control alignment, remediation tracking, and sustainable quality improvements.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of experience in quality engineering, software engineering, DevOps, technology governance, IT risk, compliance, enablement, AI-enabled transformation, or related disciplines.
• 5 or more years of leadership experience managing technical teams, enablement teams, governance functions, or enterprise transformation capabilities.
• Experience defining software quality standards, methodologies, operating procedures, or SDLC governance practices.
• Experience with AI-enabled engineering, Agile delivery, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, software controls, release readiness, production quality, and test automation.
• Experience developing maturity models, governance frameworks, scorecards, dashboards, and executive-level reporting.
• Strong ability to influence enterprise adoption and partner with Risk, Compliance, Cybersecurity, Audit, Engineering, Product, AI/Data, and technology leadership stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated environment.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps Services, GitHub Enterprise, LaunchDarkly, SonarQube, CI/CD templates, reusable workflows, feature flags, and AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Experience with audit evidence management, control mapping, SDLC compliance, access controls, vulnerability scanning, and AI governance.
• Experience building Communities of Practice, coaching models, training programs, learning journeys, or AI literacy programs.
