Principal PCB Design Engineer (High-Speed Digital)

What you will do

• Develop PCB logical designs, netlists, routing constraints, and complete physical layouts.
• Perform component placement, routing, trace length matching, design verification, and optimization.
• Apply electrical engineering principles to high-speed digital, RF, analog, mixed-signal, and power designs.
• Optimize PCB designs for manufacturability and collaborate with fabrication and assembly suppliers to improve yield and reduce cost.
• Validate internal PCB design tools, develop design methodologies, and create documentation and training materials.
• Generate manufacturing and assembly data, support product releases, and resolve DFM/DFA issues during design reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a diploma with at least 5 years of PCB design experience.
• Experience with high-speed digital circuits, DDR memory interfaces, Flash memory, analog and mixed-signal systems, and PCB manufacturability optimization.
• Proficiency in Cadence Allegro PCB Designer and Valor/CAM tools, including schematic interpretation, netlist generation, and routing constraint development.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, PCB design verification, and optimization.
• Experience working with PCB fabrication and assembly suppliers to improve manufacturability, yield, and product quality.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with HDI technologies, including blind vias, buried vias, and microvias.
• Experience in semiconductor test environments and Automatic Test Equipment applications.
• Knowledge of auto-router tools and Cadence Allegro SKILL programming for tool customization and PCB automation.
