Senior Employment Counsel (Labor Law)

Location: Singapore, South West, Singapore. Onsite role with 25% travel; relocation is not offered.

What you will do

• Provide strategic employment-law advice to the People Organization and business leaders across multiple APJ business units.
• Advise on recruiting, hiring, organizational design, terminations, compensation and benefits, employee classification, contingent workforce matters, and workplace policies.
• Manage administrative and legal claims, internal investigations, crisis responses, government inquiries, and regulatory matters.
• Develop legal strategies and functional policies for senior management and represent the organization before relevant agencies and regulatory bodies.
• Lead cross-division, multifunctional projects and integrate innovative legal methods and advanced technologies.
• Hire resources as needed and mentor junior legal team members.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in Law or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated competence.
• Typically 12+ years of experience in commercial, general, specialty, employment, or related law.
• Expertise in labor law, employment matters, legal advice, regulatory compliance, risk management, and legal research.
• Ability to develop legal strategies, manage investigations and claims, and influence long-term direction across multiple functions.
• State Bar Membership is preferred.
