Senior Legal Counsel (Media)

What you will do

• Lead the drafting, negotiation, and management of commercial agreements and legal documentation.
• Provide strategic legal and business affairs advice to senior stakeholders across the Asia business.
• Manage legal, contractual, financial, reputational, content, brand, and intellectual property risks.
• Ensure deals comply with hirify.global policies, governance frameworks, legislation, and relevant regulations.
• Lead complex legal, commercial, and cross-functional projects across multiple territories and business lines.
• Line-manage and develop members of the business and legal affairs team.

Requirements

• Admission to practise as a lawyer in a common law jurisdiction; Singapore or the UK is preferred, with US and Australian jurisdictions also considered.
• 8–10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Fluent English.
• Extensive experience in negotiation, rights management, contracting, and copyright.
• Experience working in an in-house legal team, ideally in a media business.
• Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework for broadcasting, streaming, content distribution, and advertising in the region.
