Senior Scientific Data Engineer (Python/AI)

What you will do

• Own the technical relationship with biotech, pharmaceutical, and scientific customers and deliver solutions for their scientific workflows.
• Design and build bidirectional integrations between Tetra OS and systems such as ELN, LIMS, MES, and process historians.
• Develop serverless pipelines, stateful connectors, full-stack data applications, scientific data schemas, and parsers.
• Deploy and test solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid customer environments, troubleshooting issues across the full stack.
• Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, business analysts, data architects, and ML engineers to deliver commercial data products.
• Lead design sessions, quality improvements, test automation, Agile delivery, and mentorship for junior scientific data engineers.

Requirements

• Experience building data products as a data engineer or in a similar role.
• Expertise in Python and SQL, with working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, and React.
• Experience leading customer-facing implementation projects across cross-functional teams.
• Experience with non-clinical data, laboratory scientists, and biotech or pharmaceutical environments, including GxP.
• Familiarity with networking, CI/CD, full-stack development, and AWS services including S3, Lambda, ECS, SQS, SNS, EC2, and CloudWatch.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership of project delivery.
