Senior Analytics Engineer (SQL/Python)

Location: United States (Remote)

Salary: $137.6K–$220K annually, depending on geographic tier, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and maintain reusable analytical data products across Product, GTM, Finance, and Engineering.
• Define canonical entities, shared dimensions, data marts, metric components, grains, keys, lineage, and history behavior.
• Design and maintain the Omni semantic layer, certified Topics, measures, dimensions, joins, and time handling.
• Establish modeling, documentation, change-management, testing, and data-quality standards with automated checks for freshness, completeness, uniqueness, and relationships.
• Partner with Data Platform, Trust, Data Science, and Applied AI on orchestration, deployment, observability, access controls, performance, reliability, feature tables, model outputs, and monitoring.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into governed, documented, and reusable analytical products while contributing to architecture, reviews, coaching, and hands-on SQL and code.

Requirements

• Advanced SQL skills with strong attention to correctness, performance, and maintainability.
• Working proficiency in Python for building and maintaining data-lake jobs.
• Experience with data transformation frameworks such as dbt or SQLMesh.
• Experience designing data marts using dimensional or entity-centric modeling.
• Experience implementing semantic layers or governed metrics, including grain, keys, history, lineage, contracts, and quality controls.
• Experience with Git, code review, automated tests, CI/CD, production ownership, and senior stakeholder collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with S3, Athena, Iceberg, Hive, or another open lakehouse architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Omni Analytics, Looker, or a comparable semantic layer.
• Experience with orchestration systems, usage-based B2B SaaS, cloud infrastructure, developer tools, or consumption-based revenue.
• Experience building governed contribution programs or metadata and semantic products for analytics agents.
