Head of Developer Advocacy, Ecosystem (AI)

Location: Remote or hybrid; listed locations include San Francisco, New York, Austin and Seattle, United States. hirify.global can hire in any country where it has a legal entity.

Salary: $196,461–$309,025 annual base pay, depending on geographic pay zone, plus possible benefits, bonuses, commissions and equity.

What you will do

• Own the developer advocacy strategy across the journey from awareness to successful, active building.
• Advocate for Forge, Rovo agents, skills, the hirify.global MCP server and new AI-native capabilities through talks, demos, content and launches.
• Lead, hire and develop a global team of developer advocates.
• Grow builder communities and run programs including Codegeist, hackathons, Forge Quest, workshops and learning paths.
• Create tutorials, sample apps, starter templates, reference architectures and demos that reduce barriers to platform adoption.
• Translate community feedback into product priorities and measure adoption through developer, app, agent and Marketplace metrics.

Requirements

• 10+ years in developer relations, developer advocacy, technical evangelism, software engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years leading and scaling developer advocacy or developer relations teams, including hiring, coaching and culture building.
• Strong technical background covering APIs, development frameworks, cloud platforms and development practices.
• Hands-on knowledge of AI and LLM technologies, including agents, MCP and AI-assisted development.
• Proven success growing developer communities and improving measurable adoption metrics.
• Excellent technical communication and presentation skills; willingness to travel for conferences and community events.

Nice to have

• Experience with developer platforms, extensibility frameworks or app marketplaces in a SaaS ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Forge, Rovo or the hirify.global ecosystem.
• Experience with technical education, certifications, hands-on workshops, hackathons or community-led events.
• Experience influencing product roadmaps through structured community feedback.
