Developer Relations Manager, Claude Platform (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY. Location-based hybrid policy requires staff to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time. Preference is given to candidates based in NY, Seattle, San Francisco, or the Bay Area.

Annual salary: $290,000–$435,000 USD

What you will do

• Set the strategy for developer discovery, onboarding, integration growth, and education on the Claude Platform.
• Lead the developer relations function and build a high-impact team with global reach.
• Gather developer feedback and translate it into strategic initiatives and product roadmap input.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, Communications, and Marketing teams.
• Develop scalable processes, growth paths, technical content, code demos, and educational resources.
• Promote responsible AI practices among developers building on the Claude Platform.

Requirements

• Experience building and leading developer relations, developer experience, or technical product teams.
• Proven success measurably growing developer ecosystems and scaling teams in high-growth environments.
• Technical credibility in AI/ML and API concepts, with the ability to explain complex ideas to developers and enterprise leaders.
• Hands-on ability to create code demos and review developer content for technical quality and best practices.
• Understanding of developer behavior, education programs, adoption channels, and product engagement.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience; relevant field of study required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI developer platforms.
• Public speaking at industry conferences and events.
• Technical writing or video tutorial creation experience.
