Underwriter IV - Commercial

Location: In-office position based in Pittsburgh, PA; Houston, TX; or Chicago, IL, United States

Base salary: $91,000–$169,000 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Prepare offerings, scorecards, risk ratings, and recommendations for commercial credit transactions and assigned portfolios.
• Analyze creditworthiness, collateral strength, financial information, risks, and mitigants.
• Make or recommend credit decisions and provide guidance on credit structuring.
• Gather information from internal and external customers and complete pre-approval and post-approval activities.
• Confirm regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Review and coach other underwriters, serve as a subject-matter expert, and support special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of industry-relevant experience.
• Knowledge of commercial underwriting, credit analysis, financial analysis, risk assessment, and credit decision-making.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work in the office in Pittsburgh, Houston, or Chicago.
• Employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not available.
