Salary: $137,000–$194,000 annually.

What you will do
- Underwrite new and renewal E&S Commercial Auto business, including fleet, public auto, contractor auto, transportation, and specialty vehicle exposures.
- Build and manage a profitable book of business across the Southeast Region.
- Develop broker partnerships, generate new business, and serve as a trusted market resource.
- Evaluate risk exposures, pricing adequacy, terms, and coverage structures.
- Monitor market conditions, industry trends, portfolio performance, and broker activity.
- Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, Operations, Product, and Distribution teams while following underwriting authorities and referral processes.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of commercial insurance underwriting experience.
- Strong Commercial Auto underwriting expertise, preferably in the E&S or wholesale market.
- Experience with transportation, contractor auto, trucking, specialty vehicle, or auto-focused casualty risks.
- Success managing broker relationships and generating new business.
- Ability to independently manage a book of business while maintaining underwriting discipline.
- Strong risk assessment, pricing, negotiation, communication, and portfolio analysis skills.
Nice to have
- E&S, surplus lines, or wholesale underwriting experience.
- Experience with primary casualty and auto liability products.
- Existing broker relationships throughout the Southeast Region.
- CPCU, ASLI, AU, ARM, or similar insurance designation.
