Senior Project Controls Specialist/Scheduler (Primavera P6)

Location: Hybrid at Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Illinois; on-site by project phase and remote otherwise. In-person attendance is required for monthly schedule update meetings unless virtual attendance is approved. Travel and overnight travel may be required.

Salary: $150,000–$165,000 annually, plus potential bonus or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Serve as the designated Project Scheduler for the Rock Island Arsenal Power Generation and Microgrid project.
• Develop and maintain cost-loaded and resource-loaded Primavera P6 schedules using CPM and Precedence Diagram Method principles.
• Prepare preliminary, initial, and monthly schedule submissions, narratives, network diagrams, cash flow data, and variance reports.
• Lead monthly schedule update meetings with the Government and coordinate weekly progress and two-week look-ahead schedules.
• Perform critical path, longest path, float, schedule health, delay, time impact, fragnet, and recovery schedule analyses.
• Integrate schedule forecasts with cost, earnings, cash flow, progress payments, and audit-ready project controls documentation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive scheduling and project controls experience in federal construction, EPC, heavy industrial, or infrastructure environments.
• At least three previous construction schedules of similar size and complexity prepared and maintained using Primavera P6, with project, contract value, scope, and role documentation.
• Advanced hands-on proficiency with Primavera P6 Professional, including cost and resource loading, critical path analysis, and .xer file exchange.
• Experience with USACE SDEF activity coding, UFGS 01 32 01 scheduling requirements, RMS, federal construction progress payments, time impact analyses, and fragnets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to Rock Island Arsenal, including required background screening.

Nice to have

• USACE, Louisville District, DoD, or DOW program scheduling experience.
• Experience with power generation, medium-voltage distribution, battery energy storage, microgrid, utility, testing, or commissioning projects.
• Experience with forensic schedule analysis, delay claims, schedule risk tools, Deltek Cobra, Deltek Costpoint, or Procore.
• AACE PSP, PMI-SP, Primavera P6, PMP, or AACE CST certification.
