Billing and Accounts Receivable Owner (SaaS)

Location: On-site in Redwood City, California, United States. Relocation support is provided.

Salary: $190,000–$230,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build the enterprise accounts receivable process from scratch, including invoicing, collections cadence, and cash application.
• Own enterprise collections, aging, DSO, disputes, and cash predictability.
• Set up invoicing for large contracts with committed-spend and usage-based terms.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and customers’ AP and procurement teams on escalations.
• Select and implement billing and AR tools, automating workflows where possible.
• Guide contract accountants and report on AR health.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections, including enterprise B2B.
• Experience building an AR or collections process from scratch at a high-growth SaaS or usage-based company.
• Hands-on experience with billing and finance tools such as Stripe, NetSuite, or QuickBooks.
• Confidence working with large customers’ AP and procurement teams.
• Strong accounting fundamentals, including AR aging, cash application, and reconciliations.
• Ability to work on-site in Redwood City, California; US work authorization sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.

• Experience with usage-based or committed-spend contracts.
• CPA or audit experience.
• Experience as the first finance operations hire at a startup.

• Working session on usage-to-invoice reconciliation, followed by a hiring manager conversation.
• Approximately three-hour onsite including billing and collections design, invoice dispute role-play, and cross-functional conversations.
