Senior Accountant (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, California, with office attendance required on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year base salary.

What you will do

• Own assigned areas of monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries, adjustments, and supporting documentation.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, resolve outstanding items, and independently manage assigned close areas.
• Analyze financial results and explain variance drivers in management reporting.
• Use AI-enabled tools and automation to streamline analysis, reconciliations, and recurring accounting workflows.
• Strengthen controls and accounting processes to support accurate financial statements.
• Collaborate with FP&A, AP, Legal, and other teams to improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accrual accounting.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on ownership of month-end close processes.
• Proficiency with NetSuite.
• Practical experience using AI and automation to streamline accounting workflows.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ownership, sound judgment, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
