What you will do

• Develop and optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes for a specific module.
• Sustain and improve manufacturing equipment performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Support equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, qualification, and production readiness.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on process control methodologies and production goals.
• Apply statistical analysis and experimental design to improve process reliability, throughput, and variability.
• Use materials and device characterization techniques, including SEM and TEM, and contribute to continuous improvement of process control systems.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a PhD in Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a semiconductor-related STEM field.
• Experience with plasma etch processes, including ICP, RIE, ALED, DRIE, or CCP.
• Cleanroom, fabrication, process development, and process optimization experience.
• Experience with materials and device characterization techniques, including SEM, TEM, CD SEM, AFM, XPS, or SIMS.
• Knowledge of large-data statistical analysis or machine learning for process optimization, advanced process control, and variability reduction.
• On-site work in Hillsboro, Oregon is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of JMP, Python, or MATLAB for data-based process optimization and matching.
• Previous internship experience with semiconductor manufacturing or foundry companies, or equipment suppliers.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
