Assistant Professor, Chemistry

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas, United States; on-campus faculty position beginning Fall 2027

Salary: $7,777.78–$8,555.56 per month, approximately $70,000–$77,000.04 annually

What you will do

• Develop an externally funded research program in organic and/or physical chemistry.
• Conduct experimental, computational, or theoretical research involving graduate and undergraduate students.
• Teach introductory and advanced chemistry courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Teach laboratory courses and other chemistry courses as needed.
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate students and participate in university, state, and national service.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in chemistry or a closely related field.
• Evidence of scholarly activity, including peer-reviewed publications in leading journals.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for teaching and scholarship.
• On-campus availability in Corpus Christi, Texas, is required for the faculty position.

Nice to have

• Postdoctoral experience.
