Assistant or Associate Professor of Developmental Psychology

What you will do

• Establish an independent research program in Developmental Psychology and publish in peer-reviewed academic journals.
• Apply for external research, infrastructure, training, and programmatic grants.
• Teach undergraduate- and graduate-level psychology courses as needed.
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate students on research and projects.
• Contribute to recruitment, curriculum development, accreditation, departmental service, and university committees.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary research and community partners.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in Developmental Psychology or a related field; ABD candidates must complete the doctorate before appointment as Assistant Professor.
• Associate Professor candidates must have a research, teaching, and service record meeting TAMIU standards for that rank.
• Evidence or potential for peer-reviewed publications and external funding.
• Ability to strengthen psychology programs and contribute to bilingual and multicultural research.
• Regular attendance on campus and in the workplace is required.
