3rd Party Risk Management - Associate (Fintech)

Location: Albany, United States of America; other locations include Tallahassee and Boston. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Base pay: $71,250–$120,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Coordinate business reviews, exit strategy reviews, and inherent risk assessments in line with third-party risk management standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact for vendors and manage new vendor onboarding, documentation, timelines, and introductory meetings.
• Review certificates of insurance, vendor reports, business continuity plans, SOC audits, and related compliance documentation.
• Monitor vendor performance metrics, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with procurement, legal, finance, and business line owners to resolve vendor issues and improve processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in vendor management, partner relations, or a similar role in a comparable industry.
• Strong understanding of third-party risk management standards and best practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with vendor management software is preferred.
• Must already be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States without employer sponsorship.
